About Richard

I understand that being your wedding photographer is a huge responsibility and privilege. You are trusting me with the biggest day of your lives and with the only thing that will last for years to come. Therefore, it is important that you know exactly what you are going to get on your big day.

I got into photography when I was about 8 years old and using equipment my grandfather had used and although I found it difficult to use at the time I liked photography and my mum always thought I had an eye for it just like my grandfather did who even developed his own film.

Come forward some 17 years when I was 25 and I had my first SLR camera and had just photographed my sister’s wedding as a gift. All the friends and family who weren’t at the wedding and didn’t know who took the pictures commented to my mum on how good the pictures were and who did they use as there wedding photographer. They were all pleasantly surprised that it was me and commented at the time I should take it up as a carrier. Well that was 20 years ago in 1997 and iv’e learnt so much since then and can make images in a whole host of genres.

I specialize in classic wedding portraiture and photo journalistic photography. I like to focus on classic images, such as the happy couple and groups of friends and family, that will still appear fresh and timeless in years to come.  I try to be as unobtrusive as possible and show moments as they naturally unfold so that you can look back on all of those special fleeting moments. I am meticulous about detail and want your day to be as memorable as you do.

I am a professional photographer based in Thurrock, Essex, England with a relaxed friendly approach specializing in stylish, classic photography with a modern twist.

I  offer complete “all inclusive” packages, but specialize in offering a bespoke service that is unique just as you are. I also offer a bespoke range of products available for individual purchase, some of which are hand made in Italy.

All photos are licensed for commercial, publishing or personal use, making them suitable for home, business, web sites, as well as publication purposes.

Please contact me with any questions.  I look forward to hearing from you!

Looking for a Professional Photographer

What you get with me compared to someone who just turns up and takes some pictures.

I believe a very good Photographer should be able to shoot in many ways be it Candid, Documentary, Fashion, Landscape, Photojournalism, Fine Art, Portraiture and Street Photography. Some of these are similar but all have a part to play in capturing all the different elements of a full wedding day for example.
This is what I stand for and what I have done and evolved into over my years of experience capturing moments for my clients……. Please read on……..

Lifetime Photographer
I keep a copy of every image my clients get so if at a later date you need another copy of an image I will have it. The idea being I will be your first port of call if you need anything photography wise so I will have captured your family milestones. Turning 16,18,21, getting married, having children, 30,40, 50 years young and so on.

Lifetime Products
I have done extensive research in all the products I use and recommend to my clients, Albums that are unique and bespoke for you and if the worst happens say a your dog chews the album, you spill coffee on a couple of the pages I can get that replaced. Not only do I keep a copy of every image a client of mine gets but also the company I use to make my finished albums, also keep a copy of every detail of your bespoke product forever, so if the worst happens you can get it replaced

Lifetime Legacy
The idea being I will have captured your family milestones, so with my products you can pass on your Lifetime Legacy of printed products to your future generations. Imagine having images of passed family members in years to come will be one of the few things you have to remember them by and to also show your children, gran children and so on. I know through my own experience that I have no pictures of some family members that passed away either before I was born or soon after and would love to see what they looked like and to have some insight into their past

Using extensive research to choose what I believe is the best equipment for the job in hand, just like any other skilled worker they have specific tools to carry out specific job, for a carpenter might be a saw, for me is a certain lens, camera, flash, reflectors etc the list goes on and on but I choose wisely to capture the best out of every image I can

I have two cameras so if one fails I have a backup.  I also use cameras that have two memory card slots so if one fails I have a back up of every image taken

Years of doing the job dealing with different customers whatever their needs and requirements and performing on the day first time. Especially with being a Wedding Photographer you must nail the shot first time there is no second chances of capturing that moment
